New blog

Saying goodbye to Blogspot and rolling out a new blog! I will no longer be updating this blog, so please change your bookmarks and your readers/feeds. It was time for something that had a much better way to showcase sessions, with larger pictures and more features. We're moving on up!

Book your fall sessions NOW!

If you want to book a fall session, please contact me asap to get one on the calendar! I have a very full calendar for October and November, September is full. Remember that I always make room for newborns in my schedule, but I am running out of times available for family sessions. I hate to think that any regulars would be left out and I don't want to take anyone by surprise when I'm booked up. If you are hoping for portraits for cards, they must be booked by Thanksgiving in order to ensure enough time.

Sneak Peek for little H!

This session was just this morning, but I found myself with a whole five free minutes this afternoon and was dying to see how these eyes came through the camera. I have a strange obsession- I love it when babies don't smile at me. A lot of them study me very closely and I love that curious look I get at this age! This little cutie didn't make me chase her as much as some around her age, and for that I want to thank her! I quickly went through the session and just love them! Mom, the rest will be ready in about a week, but enjoy your sneak peek for now!

Sneak Peek for the S family!

This little three month old was a doll! I loved her sweet outfit and bow. We worked her and big brother B very hard- he was my little buddy! We weren't able to coax him into posing with his little sister, but I have some adorable ones of him on his own. This little thing fell asleep after a tough morning's work, and it is a rare treat to photograph a baby of this age asleep! Enjoy your sneak peek and thank you again for inviting me out.

Another fun family!

These boys were a lot of fun and too cute! Glad they didn't mind being subjected to a little bit of torture for some cute pictures for Mom. I will definitely be happy to see them again- I love families that make me laugh! It was hard for me to choose a sneak peek because I liked so many of the proofs! Enjoy your sneak peek for now!

Mr. Handsome

I love, love, LOVE it when I get to photograph a brand spanking new baby and then I am fortunate enough to have the family call me back throughout their first year. No pressure. ;) I love babies and getting to see how much they change is a great perk. I love this family, and this little guy has grown so much. Mom likes naked babies as much as I do, and I also found out she loves HATS as much as I do! For those of you that have fall sessions booked, I might be pushing my hat collection on you shortly... ;) Isn't he cute?! We didn't get many smiles from him (could have something to do with stripping him down and then pointing a camera in his face!) but he sure did make up for it with those big baby blue eyes!

Another sneak for the F family

It doesn't get much blonder than this family! I got to meet up with this gorgeous family after a funny game of 'Six degrees of separation." I'm learning how small the world really is these days! Big brother and sister were the cutest little helpers and got their little brother to crack a few sweet smiles for us. I fell in love with the family shot below. I know a family photo where everyone looks great, smiling and facing forward is a treasure, but these are my favorites. In my own home, these are the ones that have stood the test of time. I also spied a field of wildflowers next to their home, and I think I may have to make another trip out to steal Miss E. in her cute little outfit for a few in the field if Mom is up for it. ;) Enjoy and the rest will be done shortly!

Sneak Peek of Mr. C! [Mason Ohio Photographer]

I had a fun morning with this little guy. He reminded me a lot of my son- a BOY to the core! We went to Pine Hill Lakes Park in Mason, my first time shooting there but a neat location to explore. Thanks for a fun morning and enjoy your sneak peek!

Sneak Peek! [Cincinnati Family Photographer]

Here is a sneak peek for the C family, later than I had hoped! This cutie is at an age that is hard to photograph in some ways, and a lot of fun in others. I love to sit back and watch them discover, and discover she did! Mom and Dad probably wanted to die when she tried to climb into the fountain in her picture clothes, but it's what a 2 year old does best! Thanks for being so fun and such good sports. The rest will be ready soon!

Sneak Peek! [Cincinnati Family Photographer]

Here is a quick sneak peak for the R family! I'd been dying to take pictures of these sweet kids and we finally got the chance. Little sister absolutely adores her big brothers and it was so sweet to see. They are great big brothers and full of laughs! Enjoy, guys! The rest should be ready in about a week!

Happy 1st birthday, E! [Mason Ohio child photographer]

This is the 4th time I've been lucky enough to photograph this sweet one year old, and she changes so much every time. She looked more like a little girl than the last time I saw her. I didn't get quite the big smiles I usually see from her, but it was hot and I don't blame her! She was a good sport in the heat and I always love how calm and curious she is. The rest should be ready soon, Mom and Dad!

Twice as fun [Cincinnati Baby Photographer]

Here is a sneak peek for the S family! I am thrilled to get the chance to see these babies grow up. I was fortunate enough to do their newborn session, and lucky for me, our 4 hour session didn't scare Mom and Dad away and last week we photographed them at 4 months! I couldn't believe how they'd grown. Big sister was as sweet as ever! I hope no one was too bitten by the mosquitoes (but count your lucky stars we weren't out in this 90 degree weather!), and thank you for inviting me over again. Getting them both to look in the same direction was a fun challenge, but I am in love with these two sneak peek shots. I couldn't resist including one from the newborn session, because I couldn't believe how they'd grown! Enjoy!

Baby goodness! [Cincinnati Family Photographer]

Miss T is so yummy I could eat her up. She's the perfect little ball of baby goodness, all chubby and sweet and smiley! I love this age, they crack smiles so easily and don't run from me... yet. ;)
I had a hard time choosing which ones should be the sneak peek because there were so many cute shots of her bright baby blues and sweet cheeks!
Enjoy, Mom, and the rest should be done early this week!

Sneak for Miss L! [Cincinnati Childrens Photography]

I was so excited to see this little munchkin again. She was one of the first newborns I did, and it's hard to believe she is now 14 months old. She is still so tiny but she had so much personality! I love this age, even though their goal is mostly to run from me. They rarely sit still and pose for what I have in my head, but the sessions always yield great shots that show their true nature. A treat to get to see you guys again, thank you!

Here's your sneak peek-a-boo!

Off the beaten path... and backdrop! [Cincinnati Lifestyle Photography]

Recently, I finished up a session for another favorite little guy. We decided on indoor shots because it was blazing hot outside (where is that summer now, by the way?). After we snapped a few on the backdrop, I was excited to switch it up and use his bedroom for the rest of the portraits. I was thrilled with the results and am happy to share this lifestyle session. Lifestyle sessions are exactly as they sound- no backdrops, no posing, just letting your family do their thing using your home as a backdrop. This style of photography is actually my favorite, because I think that these are the images that will mean the most years from now. For me, the fun part of lifestyle sessions is watching the kids smile and explore their own environment. Not to mention that this little man's bedroom is perfect... *I* want to sleep there!

Sneak Peek for the J family! [Cincinnati Family Photography]

I did this little guy's newborn session, so it seems hard to believe we just finished up his first year session! He made us work for smiles, but I love how much personality showed up in the final prints. Same as last year, big brother was the sweetest guy, always smiling and making a few faces that made me laugh. When I photographed him last year, I told his mom over and over how I couldn't believe how cooperative he was for a 2 year old, and this year, he was no different at 3! Sweet as pie and quite the little photographer's assistant, making wacky faces and noises to make the little guy laugh.
Enjoy, guys, and the rest will be ready soon! And by the way, as I was editing them, I just could not believe how much they looked alike! Amazing.

Sneak! [Cincinnati Family Photography]

Here's a sneak for the F family! This age is always interesting to me because babies are so aware and interested in their surroundings. I love watching their big eyes trying to figure out who I am and what am I doing in their dining room! I do love to catch a big smile at this age, but something about their wide eyes checking out the world interests me more, and I often forget that most parents are probably after a smile! This sweetie was definitely not sure what to think of me be she warmed up in the end. I think she's an old soul. Thanks again to the F family, and for being up for a change. It's always fun for me to get off the background and photograph babies in their regular surroundings, and as I thought, the ones of her playing on the blanket turned out to be my favorites. Your gallery will be ready soon!

Boys, boys, boys! [Cincinnati Family Photographer]

These guys were FUN! Mom has a reserved spot in heaven with these three boys, and I got a taste of what my life would be like with my little boy in a few years. It was fun to watch them just hang out, they really were the best of friends and took great care of their mom!
Here's your sneak, and the rest will be ready next week!

B family sneak! [Cincinnati Family Photography]

FUN session! Big sis is an awesome helper who loves her little brother! They were a lot of fun and lots of laughs to be had. I love this 7-9 month age group, they're so smiley and not too mobile. All these blue eyes are so gorgeous! Thanks for meeting up with me, guys, and your gallery will be ready very soon! :)

Did ya miss me? [Cincinnati Childrens Photography]

Hope you didn't think I'd closed up shop! ;) I was on a much needed vacation last week and I'm back with a bang.
Here is a sneak peek of Miss E's 9 month session! Mom, you are going to have a rough time choosing your favorites for this order because she looks so sweet in every single one! My favorite part of this business is getting to watch kids grow up, and E is always happy and ready for her close up. Can't wait for her one year session!
I make a conscious decision NOT to show my favorite as a sneak peek, but I couldn't help myself this time- the third image is probably one of my favorite captures of all time! Just something about those sweet sparkly eyes. I hope you'll agree, Mom! Your gallery should be ready by the end of the week. :)

Beautiful boys! [Cincinnati Family Photography]

I LOVE these boys! I don't think little boys get any cuter than this. I think they've gotten even cuter since the fall! Their eyes are so blue it's amazing- I could have played with them all afternoon!
Hope you enjoy your sneak peek, guys! Your gallery will be ready soon.
